Update... and the flu

I have had an interesting few days. I have the flu, been to the emergency room, stayed in bed all day today and just been blah... I have been sleepy and just not quite with it... Hope things get better!

Whoa... Been a long time!

So, it has been forever since I have blogged here, so I decided to say hello and give you all an update.

I have been looking for a job, and finally have an interview Friday with Snyder Village. They are looking for someone to help in homes of elderly folks that don't want to go into an assisted living facility. Hope I get it! Cross your fingers!

Jeff and I are working on our house, getting things finished up before our cookout! I am working on painting the bathroom right now, then working on the fire pit outside (hopefully), and then on to the gutters! How fun!

A few weeks ago, we went up to Starved Rock to visit the Dares and their guests, Doc and Cherry. The big storm had made the river and marina very dirty and muddy. Jeff took some pictures of the slip after he pushed out all of the debris. There was alot of flotsom in the slip, including a very large trunk to a tree and a picnic table. Hopefully, everything is better now.

Jeff and I went home for Centrals homecoming last weekend. Unfortunately, the Maroons lost. Its ok, though, the boys tried hard.

This weekend is Metamora's homecoming! We are excited to watch the team continue their undefeated season!

Well, I had better get back to work! Lots of stuff to do!

Computers can sometimes be your own worst enemy...

So I have spent countless hours (actually, I counted 7 so far...) trying to get my internet to work. I had to back up all my files, wipe the hard drive, and reboot everything. I started at 10:30 this morning, and after a break for lunch and then for dinner, I still haven't gotten any of the things I need back onto the computer. I have to say thank you to Jeff though, he got me looking at google chrome, which is now my new browser! I love it so far, guess we will see what happens. Gotta run!

Update!

Just wanted to let you all know what was going on! My best friend, Stuart, who has been gone for 2 years now on his mission trip, is finally home! Well, at least I think he is... His mom told me he was flying home today, so hope he made it in! I will be back in Champaign Saturday to see him for his big welcome home party! Hope you made it in safe, buddy! I have missed you!

In other news, Jeff got started on his rehearsals for the Madrigal dinner this week. For some reason, they think its a good idea to start in August. He met with the Madrigals themselves yesterday and today. He gets to meet the other half, the Court singers, tomorrow. Everything sounds like it is going well. Soon I will have the Madrigal dinner and the concerts up on my calendar!

Well, I should get to making dinner!

In our new house!!!

Well, it's official! We are finally moved into our new house! We still have a few things to actually move into the house, but for the most part we are in! So how much do you miss us??? Hopefully quite alot!!!! We miss you all too! Anyway, I will maybe post some new pictures soon! Check Jeff's page for all of our current pictures. He is the one taking them all!

My new site!

Hello everyone! Jeff helped me get my site all put together, so it is finally up and running! We have been very busy lately with the move and all that I haven't had a chance to do this until now! Well, under the Photos tab, you can see, you guessed it, PHOTOS! the only album up there right now is the new house photos. I took those yesterday. In the see what I am doing tab, you can view a calendar of our upcoming craziness. Once I have dates for Jeff's new choir functions, I will put those on here, as well, so you all can join us if you wish. Anyway, I am going to go watch Batman all afternoon and hopefully upload some more photos before I go see the Dark Knight tonight!
